Journey to motherhood

January 29, 2013 is when we found out that I am pregnant. It was 5am in the morning my hubby is still sleeping when I woke him up. We did not go for work that day, instead we went to my Obgyn for my first prenatal check up. My doctor verified that I am really pregnant. YEEY!!!!

First trimester :

It not that smooth. I am vomiting every night, sleepy in the afternoon, and sometimes dizzy and moody. I am thankful of my hubby he is very patient and understanding with my mood and cravings. hehehe

I was advised not to drink coffee. huhuhu

Second trimester:

April 6, 2013 my hubby birthday.... I was confined for a week due to spotting. I am urinating and when I stood up, I saw 2-3 drop of blood in my undies. We texted my doctor and advice that I need to be rushed in the hospital to be safe. Thank God my baby is safe.

During this trimester, we found out that I cannot deliver my baby normally and it will be CS due to my multiple mayoma in my uterus. There are 5 mayoma and 3 of them are big. 2 mayoma are blocking the birth canal, one is on the top of the uterus, one is on the left side and the other is at the back. It will be difficult for me to sleep to my sides.

On my series of sugar test (50 and 75 ml) I am diagnosed that I have a gestational diabetes. I need to take insulin and monitor my sugar daily 3x a day. The insulin and the strips for my sugar test are very expensive. haaaayyyy

In one of my ultrasound test, I am told that I have a placenta previa totalis grade 2. this is where my placenta is blocking the cervix.

And because all of these complications, I am categorized as a high risk.

Third trimester:

Early of my third trimester, I experience contractions and I was advised by my doctor to take my maternity leave and be bed rest as much as possible. No stairs, walking, standing... so I went back to my home at Fairview. It is a difficult time for my hubby and I, because he is staying at his home at Project 8 during weekdays, and he will be with me at Fairview on a weekends. I hate sleeping without him by my side.

On our Congenital Anomaly scan, we found out that we are having a baby girl!!!
Here are some of the ultra sound:

And this scan my doctor found out that my amniotic fluid is running low, so I am confined in the hospital for hydration. I stayed there for a week. My doctor injected 2 shots of steroids for my baby's lungs so that it will be developed if the baby came out premature. We are also advised that I need 10+  of blood donors when I deliver the baby. My condition is very complicated and my doctor just want to be ready for the worst case scenario.

Worse case scenario: is when I deliver the baby premature and one of my mayoma burst or if my bleeding cannot be controlled. She may perform a myomectomy and remove my uterus completely. =(

Then after 3 weeks I am confined in the hospital due to bleeding and contractions. This is a very scary experience, I thought I am about to give birth... my baby is still premature, 34 weeks. She need to be in 37 weeks so that everything is develop. The contractions are controlled and the bleeding stopped. But my doctor told me not to leave the hospital and wait until the 37th week there.

So I stayed in the hospital almost a month and our bill ... our bill haaay... MAHAL!!!
